Boilerplate
Sample Miner turns the sample library you already own into playable kits and instruments. macOS.
Sample Miner is a macOS app that classifies a messy sample library into playable drum kits, multisampled instruments and grouped loops, then exports them to Logic EXS24, Akai MPC, SFZ, Decent Sampler and Yamaha MODX/Montage. It runs entirely on your machine. One-time purchase.
Sample Miner is a macOS app for producers who already own more samples than they can find. Point it at a folder and it classifies the whole library into the playable kinds, drum kits, multisampled instruments and grouped loops, at libraries of 250,000 samples. Grouping, key, tempo and loop points are detected automatically, with no tagging and no naming conventions required. Exports land on Logic, Akai MPC, SFZ, Decent Sampler and Yamaha MODX/Montage hardware. Analysis runs on your machine and makes no network calls.

Logo
Download the logo (SVG). It is a
flat two-colour mark, indigo #6366F1 on #0E0E14, and
scales to any size without a raster version. A PNG can be exported from the
SVG at whatever dimensions you need.
Screenshots
Eight shots, full resolution, 2432 × 1445. Every one is a real library, not a staged folder.
Other shots available on request: search, kit builder, find similar, export queue, and the Instruments view filtered to bass.
Video
Not yet recorded. A 30 second cut, a 90 second cut and a long unedited walkthrough are planned, and this section is filled with the files and the links before any outlet is contacted.
What it does not do
Stated plainly because these come up in every review.
- It does not generate audio. Every sound it produces is one you already own.
- It does not upload your library or your filenames anywhere.
- It does not write Kontakt
.nkifiles. Kontakt users import the EXS24 output. - It does not run on Windows today.
Reviewer licences
Free permanent licences are available to reviewers and to anyone writing about the app, with no requirement to publish anything. Write to sampleminer@novate.ai.
