The app does not phone home
Sample Miner runs on your Mac and works on the files already on your drives. It has no account, no cloud sync, and no subscription. Your samples never leave your machine, and we never see your library, your filenames, or what you do with them. There is no telemetry in the app.
What the website collects
Your email, if you give it to us. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. That is it. We use it to send you updates about Sample Miner: launch announcements, beta access, and occasional product news. We will never sell, rent, or share it.
Analytics, only if you say yes. With your consent we use Google Analytics and HubSpot’s visitor tracking to understand how visitors use this site and which pages lead people to join the waitlist. Both set cookies and collect usage data. You choose on your first visit using the banner. If you decline, neither loads and no tracking happens.
Who else sees it
- HubSpot stores the mailing list and sends the messages. It receives the email address you submit and the page it came from, and — only if you accepted cookies — the visit that led to it.
- Google Analytics receives anonymous usage data, and only if you accepted cookies.
- Amazon Web Services hosts this website.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. You can also ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to sampleminer@novate.ai.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, our lawful basis for both the mailing list and analytics is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA.
Children
Sample Miner is a professional audio tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Where your information goes
We operate from the United States and the providers above process data there. If you are outside the United States, giving us your address means it is transferred there.
Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. The most meaningful protection here is structural: the app holds your audio locally, so there is no library of yours for anyone to breach.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle the mailing list will be sent to the list.
